Melissa and Kevin

May 23, 2009

Melissa and Kevin were married at the Elkridge Furnace Inn and it was an emotional affair.  It was raining tears during the ceremony and  preparation and I was genuinely moved by the show of affection.  I feel it helped push the photography further because I was so inspired by the love that was been shared by the two families.  After the ceremony, Melissa, Kevin and I grabbed a couple glasses of champagne and headed out to the lovely grounds at the Inn to make some portraits.  Afterwards, we headed inside to some serious dancing and celebration.

Brian and Rachel

May 16, 2009

A few weeks after shooting my friends John and Sally’s wedding, I was off to Minneapolis, MN to photograph another close friends wedding, Brian and Rachel.  I had a chance to see the same group of friends from a fews prior and it was a real treat to see everyone again. It was the most I have seen them in four years and I took full advantage of it.  Brian and Rachel really wanted me to focus on their daughter in addition to portraits of the two of them at their ceremony location, Como Park in St. Paul.  Inside the park is St. Paul’s Zoo, so during the reception, the zoo supplied a two toed sloth.  I LOVE sloths, they are so relaxed and I can certainly relate to that!  The ceremony and reception was beautiful and I am so thank full I was able to photograph their wedding.  Cheers Brian and Rachel!

Laya and Luke

May 9, 2009

Saturday was spent with Laya and Luke in Harve de Grace, MD at the Vandiver Inn.  The weather couldn’t have been better and went down to the water front for some portraits.  Luke and Laya had a beautiful Rolls Royce for the afternoon and the driver was kind enough to park in front of the water front so we take adavantage of the beautiful locale.  Thanks Luke and Laya for a wonderful day.

Sally and John

May 2, 2009

Last summer dear friends of mine from college called me and asked me to shoot their wedding. I was absolutely flattered and excited to see them again along with our crew from “back in the day”.  May quickly came and I was off to Dubuque, IA, Sally’s home town were all of our friends gathered from across the U.S. and even Australia.  Photography was really important to them, especially the candid moments, so I spent two full days photographing and reuniting with old friends.  It was an amazing time.  I arrived on Friday and after settling in at the hotel, a trolly picked everyone up for the rehearsal and dinner.  After dinner, we all gather at Sally’s house for a bond fire and jam session with the band.  John and few others were in a great band, and they reunited after four years of not playing together for a jam session.  Needless to say, they sounded great and we made some wonderful pictures.  There were so many great pictures from these two days it was hard to narrow it down for the blog.  Thank you Sally and John for flying me out, and trusting me with your wedding pictures, I hope you treasure them for the rest of your lives.
