Alex and Sarah- NYC

June 20, 2009

A big thank you to Sarah and Alex for a wonderful wedding day!  Lindsay and I headed up to NYC for a few day to shoot Sarah and Alex’s wedding day, starting at Trinity Church on Broadway in Manhattan.  The church was absolutely amazing and provided the perfect back drop for pictures.  Instead of photographing the preparation, Sarah wanted to spend time photographing her in her gorgeous dress around the church grounds.  Unfortunately, the weather had other plans so we made a dash outside just before it rained and managed to make a couple wonderful photos of her and with her mother and sister.  After the ceremony, we went to Public, a restaurant in the lower East side of Manhattan for the reception.  It was the perfect place, beautiful decor, intimate, wonderful light and the food, well, the food was not only beautiful, but absolutely delicious.

Lauren and Andrew

June 13, 2009

Last October I met Lauren and Andrew through wedding planner, Michele Adamo, from Michele Damon events.  When we met, Lauren was really excited about my approach to wedding photography and we quickly bonded.  A few weeks later, we went out to Monkton, MD and shot their engagement photos, which you can see on my website under engagements.  Last week was their big day and all of the hard work and planning paid off with a wonderful celebration.  After getting ready at Lauren’s house, we headed to the ceremony at the beautiful St. James church off of Charles St. in Baltimore and then to the reception at the Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley, MD.  Time was a little tight but we managed to sneak in a few minutes for portraits and I am so happy we pulled it off because they came out great.  Lauren had a beautiful dress and the two were already primed for the camera after shooting the engagement session.  Stay tuned in the coming weeks as I will be adding the wedding to my website under, “Full Weddings”.  Thanks Lauren and Andrew for trusting me with your wedding photography and allowing me to be as creative as I wanted to be.

Pam and Matt

June 7, 2009

Pam and Matt, what a joy to work with.  The day started out at Pam’s hotel, photographing her getting ready and it ended with a great party and quite a few great portraits under our belt from the day.  After the ceremony, we headed to the reception site at the Antrim 1844.  The light was bit hard and contrasty, so I advised them to push the group pictures back a few hours and they gladly accepted my suggestion.  I have to admit, I was so happy they did, because we had marvelous light, inspiring light, and we made some wonderful images together.  They were a true pleasure to work with and in the end, I am happy to say that I have some new friends.  Thanks for being so warm and inviting, and for making the photography a priority.
